About the Journal

Tropical Journal of Medicine and Basic Sciences (TJMBS) is a journal of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, Nigeria, established to publish and promote scientific research on topics of relevance in medicine and basic sciences, particularly to highlight research work that addresses tropical diseases, healthcare challenges, and advancements in medical and biological sciences within tropical regions. The journal aims to provide a platform for researchers, clinicians, and academicians to share their findings, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, and contribute to the improvement of health outcomes in tropical and low-resource settings. TJMBS welcomes original research articles, reviews, case reports, and short communications that offer significant contributions to the understanding and management of medical and scientific issues in the tropics.

Frequency of Publication

The Tropical Journal of Medicine and Basic Sciences (TJMBS) is published online throughout the year and in print twice a year.
